Djibouti port fees will fuel Ethiopian inflation

The revival of a plan by Djibouti to charge Ethiopia an extra $22.5 million a year in port tariffs will push up inflation in the land-locked country, a senior Ethiopian business leader said on Friday.

Regional Approach Crucial to Bring Pirates to Justice, Says UN Anti-Crime Chief

The United Nations crime-fighting agency today proposed a regional approach to bringing pirates off the Somali coast to justice similar to one that has proved successful in fighting drug traffickers in the Caribbean.
